We are the storytellers.
Food, events, and hot spots in our beloved city of Toronto are our specialties. We not only give you the inside scoop of what’s happening in the city – The Urban Craze, as we’d like to call it; but we also give you a look into the story behind it. We believe that everyone has a story to tell, and at TUC, our coverage extends beyond just reviewing the food you eat, the events/hot spots you go to. Things that intrigue us are the inspirations and personal mantras of chefs, business owners, organizers, and any other important players that bring everything together. We look for passion, handwork, and the core soul, which is what makes each story so unique.
Our mission is to give our readers a three dimensional review of restaurants, shops, venues, and events that highlight the products/services as well as the people behind it. We want to build a sense of community. We tell it as it is (good or bad) because we believe trust and integrity of our opinions are fundamental.
Our values can be summed up in a few words:
Story. – everyone has a story to tell, and we’re here to listen and share
Sincerity. – approach all things with a mentality and gentleness that is deeply rooted in who we are as individuals and as a team
Appreciate. – from one heart to another, we truly appreciate all that the city has to offer and the opportunities/partnerships we’ve been given

Living in city for over 10 years, I’ve been very blessed being able to experience many aspects of it. I believe there are many great spots and events that happen within and just outside the city. I hope this website helps you discover some of the simple joys that may bring a smile to your face as it has for me. Love talking to the people behind it all. I’m always up to hear about any great suggestions or venues you would like the team to visit. Work hard and never forget to make time for the things that matter, that allow you to be you.

As a Resident Physician at the University of Toronto, I spend most my days hibernating in a hospital or library. With incredible amounts of student debt, I have learned to become the Queen of Scavengers. I find the best local deals on a budget and don’t mind going to the local diners and dives. However, as they say, work hard and play harder. I am always up for adventure and love a good drink with friends, but not without my camera.

It’s my 9th year schooling and working here in Toronto and I still love it! Around every corner there’s something new to eat, some new store to discover, a new person to meet, and a new story to hear. By writing for this site I hope to share with all of you a taste of my life – my passions and joys, adventures and, sometimes, misadventures. Here’s to our never-ending journey of discovery. Carpe diem! Bon appetite!

I am a city-dweller-at-heart misplaced in suburbia who is fond of all things artsy, quirky, techy and of course yummy. There is never a dull moment living in a city constantly evolving at its core and in its surroundings. There is so much out there waiting to be discovered and I hope to share with you my little personal finds, old and new.

If there’s one thing to know about me, it is that I love living in the city. Since moving downtown a year ago, I have almost scouted out every little neighbourhood and tried as many restaurants/bars/venues/teas/lattes/classes/vintage shops as my wallet can keep up with. There is always something to do in the city if you look around and keep an open mind (i.e. Poetry slam anyone?). BlogTO and TorontoLife have been my confidents, but move over blogs, there’s a new Urban Crazer in town, hoping to give you my own personal spin on the happenings in Toronto.
